Pelpro pellet stoves are made by the Danson group in a 107,000 square foot facility in Acheson Industrial Park, just outside Edmonton. Dansons started off making horse and animal bedding using waste material from Vanderwell Contractors, they realised that they could use the same technology to produce pellet fuel with the upsurge of interest in pellet stoves.
Danson's pellet fuels are marketed under the names Glow Boy, Kentucky Komfort, Homewood and Backwoods, (flavored wood pellet fuel for pellet bbq, smokers, grills and barbecues). Having made a name in pellet fuels, the Danson group bought out the 'CheapCharlie' brand of stoves and now market them under the name 'Pelpro' and 'Glow Boy'.Pelpro stoves are made for Dansons by Canadian Comfort Industries, which is a division of Vanderwell Contractors, who also provide the raw material for pellet fuel.
Pelpro stoves are also marketed under the name 'Glow Boy'. The range of Glow Boy stoves is exactly the same as Pelpro stoves.
These stove will burn a mixture of 25% corn to 75% wood pellets and feature a long lasting stainless steel heat exchanger.
