The Harman P61 and P61A Pellet Stoves

The only difference between the Harman P61, and the P61A is that the P61 has no igniter. This stove is the big brother of the P38, and has the same no fuss maintenance.

Producing 61,000 btu. and rated to heat over 2,000 square feet, this is a very powerful but relatively inexpensive stove. It has many of the features of more expensive stoves in the Harman range such as the heat probe thermistor temperature control.

The Harman P61 is a step top and pedestal design with the ability to add a hopper extension, increasing the capacity to 132 lbs. and the burn time to 176 hrs.

Ashes are automatically pushed into the large ash pan by incoming unburned pellets. The ash pan has an integral handle and only has to be emptied after burning a ton of fuel.

The blower is contained within the stove in an air cooled housing which contributes greatly to quietness of operation.

The burn pot is very visible through the viewing window in this stove, and only partially hidden by the optional log set.

The battery backup offered by Harman is not supported by onboard electronics. It's an inverter unit made by Surefire and will work effectively with any pellet stove. See the link above.

Empty the ash pan.

Two to five tons of pellets burned

Clean and scrape the burn pot, clean the heat exchanger, clean ash from the inside of the stove, clean the combustion blower fan and internal flue.
